Nathan restarted his bartending career in a small wine bar on the Albert Dock in Liverpool a mere two years ago. Fast forward to today, and he’s achieved not only the title of 2024 PATRÓN Perfectionist Global Champion but also opened his first site, Bar Glue. The forefront of Nathan’s passion and career has always been the development of Liverpool’s bar scene and community. Having won PATRÓN Perfectionists in May, Nathan was offered many roles all over the globe but knew that ultimately staying and developing both himself and his community in Liverpool was the true goal. Working closely with both local and international industry leaders for the past year, Nathan’s skills and drinks knowledge have enhanced dramatically. After years of planning, alongside business partner Mike Bower, he has finally opened Bar Glue on the iconic Albert Dock in Liverpool where they both have dedicated their first menu to the women in their lives who have supported and inspired them on their now years-long journey. Liverpool’s bartending creative talent is often overlooked. Nathan’s plans for the future of Bar Glue are to shine a light on the city’s bar scene by hosting takeovers with some of the world’s most renowned bars and to take Bar Glue’s travelling menu across the globe.
