Benjamin Fabio Cavagna

Benjamin Fabio Cavagna was born in a small town between Milano and Verona, called Lumezzane. During his studies of philosophy in Milan, he became passionate about the world of whiskies and spirits, of which he is a collector. During that period of time he approached the bar ’ s world and worked as a bartender at Mag Navigli. In 2014 he met Flavio Angiolillo, now a friend and business partner, and started working at 1930 Cocktail Bar, where he is now bar manager. This famous speakeasy is part of the classification of the World’ s 50 Best Bars since 2019. He also had a significant contribution in the creation and development of Backdoor 43, the world' s smallest cocktail bar, where clients can enjoy an exclusive, tailor-made experience within just 4 square meters. In 2016, Benjamin, along with five other business partners from the mixology world, founded FARMILY. This brand, known for its famous Amaro di Farmily, gathers all the projects of the group, collectively known as the FARMILY GROUP. One year later, in 2017, this team made the decision to open Iter, a distinctive fusion cocktail bar that also features a kitchen, offering a unique culinary and mixology experience from all over the world. To celebrate Mag ' s 10th anniversary, in 2020, Benjamin and his partners opened the doors of Mag la Pusterla, a distinctive venue set in a retro atmosphere. This unique space of 300 square meters features an iconic marble counter top and 1940' s decor. Also in 2020, he starts a new adventure with his colleagues, initiating a partnership with Mattia and Luca Vita, the latest generation of a renowned family of distillers from the Milanese hinterland, to establish Dripstillery. With this new collaboration, Cavagna enters in the beverage world as a producer, giving birth to successful products such as Bitter Fusetti. Dripstillery manufactures ready-to-drink items, spirits, and liqueurs under its own brand in addition to goods sold to other companies. In 2021 follows another opening, a Cocktail Bottega: a place to meet and share, under the banner of informality and “drinking well” , located in the beating heart of Milan ' s Mercato Centrale. The last Benjamin ’ s and Farmily project is Tripstillery: a cocktail bar, nestled among the skyscrapers of Portanuova district, which breaks the rules by including a micro-distillery where you can make your own personalized distillate, with a personalized recipe according to your tastes. Many of the botanicals used by Tripstillery to create products come from a rural space on Lake Iseo called F.A.R.M. This is a 3-hectare farm where many plants used in distillation grow sustainably. In addition, a house was purchased at the same location, where employees and customers of the group can relax and enjoy the nature. In addition, Benjamin loves experimenting in the company ' s laboratory, trying new techniques and tasting new flavours, to propose in seminars and during the trips that he, and the rest of the partners, undertake to get to know new places, collaborations and discover new horizons.
