King of Negroni
Mauro Mahjoub “The King of Negroni”, began the career 29 years ago in several bars and Bar hotels along the Adriatic coast and then moved to Bologna (Harry’s Bar). Even then he had begun to attend several seminars in Italy and abroad (Training Center in Singapore, EDC Course in Scotland).
Mauro speaks five languages: Italian, English, French, German and Arabic.
Since 1994 M. Mahjoub lives in Munich in Bavaria (Germany). After working four years in several bars in the Bavarian capital as head bartender, in 1998 he decided to open his own bar "Negroni". The same year Mahjoub Created the "Category Negroni". In 2009 the company melts and he established the "Mauro's Negroni Club", an American bar, which obtained great success from day one. In September of this Year ( 2017) opened with a Partner the “Boulevardier Bar”.
M. Mahjoub Winner of numerous National and International Competitions in 2002 was awarded in Bavaria as "Bartender of the Year". The same year he obtained a Diploma of the Hotel School of Munich as a BARMEISTER.
For M. Mahjoub the Bar is not just a job, but rather a passion that led him to become a historian of the Bar. He begins to conceive and keep the Master in more than 25 countries (Australia, USA, Russia, France, Italy, Portugal, England, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Bulgaria, Serbia, Estonia, China, Egypt, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Peru, Puerto Rico and other countries). The main themes of his seminars are the history of the bar or Negroni, Campari, Dry Martini, Tiki Cocktails, Prohibition, Vintage drinks, Vintage Bar books, Famous Bartenders, Bar Tools etc.), the art of preparing fine cocktails, the organization and management of a bar, staff training, customer service and Consulting.
In 2008 he became brand ambassador for Campari (Germany) and founded the Campari Academy in Munich, where he gives seminars and leads many Tastings. He founded the first museum of Cocktail in Europe; founder and coordinator of the Competition Campari "Liquid Art" in Germany, and created the first Competition in The World with the theme “Negroni Twist”
M. Mahjoub is Co-author of the book "Mint Julep" (2011).
M. Mahjoub is a member of various associations of Bartender (DBU, ÖBU, AMBA, AIBES, IBA), and holds seminars for the IBA (World Championship in Berlin, 2009; EDC Training Centre in Tallinn, Italy, and the World Championship in Sofia, 2015) and AIBES, where he is a honorary member since 2010. Mauro Mahjoub is also examiner and judge of many competitions around the Globe, including IBA and AIBES.
Mahjoub owns one of the largest Collections of Bar books and Bar Tools, which was exhibited in many places in the World.
